So I made a PSD in Photoshop CS3, named the left, top and content layers correctly, saved the psd, uploaded it to this site, saved the zip, put into my joomla install, set the template as default and....
i see the photoshop file but all the boxes, like the content_joomla box are still whatever color i made it and has no content inside.
so then i uploaded/converted your example psd from the documentation and blamo! same thing, it looks exactly like the original psd, like no conversion took place.
I'm running XAMPP 1.7.3 on a local VM server and Joomla 1.5.15 and I saw that you only tested 1.5.8. So I installed 1.5.8 and got the same result.
Anybody have any idea?

I tried another one of your more recent example PSD's and it worked on Joomla 1.5.15 and everything. Now to try to create one of my own. Thanks!

Cool. Since it works for one file, it will work for any that has the layers named right (at first I was thinking maybe you weren't logged in). If after that you still think something isn't working, then could you post the offending PSD here? Thanks!
