Re: Joomla and Flash

Some quick questions: are you getting the temp FLV to play? Please remember that you need to replace the FLV file with you own. The video file itself has to be a Flash FLV video file. That is the standard format that Adobe Flash videos are in.
The name of the FLV file needs to match what you used in the layer name. For our example above, the layer we called myvid_video will get code generated that will play a video file called myvid.flv. We supply a place holder video that is already named correctly in the page we host for you and in the zip file with all the other generated code. You'll certainly want to replace that FLV file with your own. You can do this by either naming your video myvid.flv or what ever you have named it in the Layer itself on your PSD.

Brandon,
I cannot get the placeholder video to play. Nothing comes up at all. I have tried it with my own video (replacing the placeholder before uploading template than rezipping folder and uploading and also uploading and replacing with ninjaxplorer on joomla), after that did not work I resubmitted the template and tried it with the placeholder video file. Neither worked. I attempted it with my own flv file that I created, I then tried it with a converted flv file from a mov that I converted using the method shown on the video tutorial, and I finally tried it with a swf file changing the code in the index.php file using ninjaxplorer. I will attempt it again and if it does not work I will reply again with a link to the psd file and to the website. Thank you.
Video Controls and Mix/Matching Effects
Yeah ...please send us the PSD.... I need to see what is going on.
remember the video controls HAVE TO MATCH THE VIDEO LAYER NAME
for others who might have the same issue remember _play, _pause or _rewind layers have to match the video layer
Example Layer Name:
mycrazybadtothebone_video
mycrazybadtothebone_play
mycrazybadtothebone_pause
mycrazybadtothebone_rewind
and then you can also mix match if you want link effects as well
mycrazybadtothebone_video_link
mycrazybadtothebone_video_linkover
mycrazybadtothebone_play_link
mycrazybadtothebone_play_linkover
mycrazybadtothebone_pause_link
mycrazybadtothebone_pause_linkover
mycrazybadtothebone_rewind_link
mycrazybadtothebone_rewind_lnikover
