page layout off on IE

i am using safari as my primary browser. Everything looks ok in safari and firefox but all a mess in internet explorer. How can I fix this problem???

thanks

I.E. 7-below

Dear Forum/Shaun

The site faithtbc is not showing properly in i.e. 7 and below.I usually use firefox and opera and I made the fatal mistake of not checking browswer shots first. I made a few changes regarding links and everything works and looks fine in firefox and opera. my specific problems are with the images not loading and the links and linkovers which are not showing properly . the site looks like an absolute missing i.e. Is there anything that you provide to me to fix this problem or should i tell everyone to update their browswers to internet explorer 8 .I really don't know what to do . This is my first css site? May i send you the psd and html file? Thank you again for all of your help.

Another Error

Hi Steve -

I sent you an email earlier. When I convert your PSD file the pure generated code works find in IE6 and IE7. IE does throw up an error dialog when I visit your site after the modifications about an error on 'line 11 character 1'. However when I look at both index.html and index.css there is nothing important on line 11. I do notice that you have this line: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?> at the top of index.html and psd2css Online didn't generate that. Possibly that is causing IE to interpret something somewhere else differently than when the line isn't there?

I apologize that we're a little outside my realm of expertise, but since the generated code isn't throwing the error, maybe you could post a link to the URL that is and one of our other users could chime in and help out.

Hi I have the same problem

Hi Shaun,

I have the same problem with IE. My webpage www.ordenador-gratis.com work fine with firefox but with Internet Explorer don´t wpork properly. I will apreciate your help. Thanks.

Some problem persist

Hi Shaun, sorry for delay.

I have tried several things. I have used the new files with external css file but my problem persist with Internet Explorer and I think that the problem is from the jquerypngfix.js file. My web not refresh properly. It always show remaining x elements and not finish the load.

When I remove the jquerypngfix script from the index page code, the web load properly but the png transparency problem appear.

The load problem in IE only appear in the index.html page and not in the other pages of the website. I am some frustrated because It cause that the index.html page is not indexed in the search engines.

I hope that You can help me, if you need any information, please contact me. Thanks

Same problem

Hi Shaun,

www.ordenador-gratis.com/nueva-web/ (this is my test url)

I have worked with the new psd file that you send me and I have edited it with the guidelines rasterizing the layers and some more changes but my problem with the load in Internet explorer persist. When refresh the index page in IE it don´t load properly and the load is static with the message "(remaining 20 elements) downloading image http:..../layer.png

When I remove the jquerypngfix file from the server, the page load in IE (when refresh) properly but the png problem appear. I think that may be the problem can be solve in the jquerypngfix file.

This cause that the index page don´t be indexed properly in Google. The load of the index page when refresh it in IE don´t work properly.

I will continue working to resolve the problem but I don´t understand it.

Thanks for your Help

Hi evos1 -

What version of IE are you using? That link in your most recent post works for me in IE7 and looks ok in IE6 at browsershots.org:

I wonder if there isn't something happening on your end? Have you tried clearing your cache and trying again?

Keep me posted...
