Layer naming

Just wondering if there is a way to have the Layer-1, etc take the name from the name in the layer?

If a layer is named content_empty, It would help alot if it is actually named content.

I don't see the need for having inserted comments since they serve no acutal purpose.

Is this perhaps an upcoming feature is is not already implemented?

A simple _usename or something similar would be great to have, or better yet skip the whole thing and take the name from the layer.

But then again I guess some people won´t like being forced to actually naming the layers.

So perhaps a _usename would be the best addition?

Thanks for a REALLY GREAT service. I love it. Saves me tons of work.

Cheers

Hi Amrit - There are 2

Hi Amrit -

There are 2 reasons behind the way it works now:

1. You can have any character in a layer name but there are issues about what are acceptable characters in the CSS names, in PHP (for drupal and joomla themes), and in my program itself. It's a potential security hazard to have user generated names (strings) floating around inside any website.

2. It's completely possible to name all your layers the same exact thing in Photoshop - but you can't have all the CSS layers named the same thing. The browser will get confused.

Both of these have work arounds, but that first one would take some engineering that hasn't been scheduled in yet.

Thanks for the input though! Keep the great ideas coming.
