I've found that I can make the size of the .psd file sometimes much smaller and also force psd2css Online to generate a more efficient web page by cropping the entire final .psd file to the size that it is already. I know that doesn't sound like it makes any sense - but many times you can have a layer that 'pokes out' of the full image size - psd2css Online will generate that layer and image as big as the layer is - even if some of it ends up outside the browser window.
So as the last step in your 'prepare the .psd for psd2css Online' ritutal, crop the whole psd file to the size it is already. You might shave off a MB from the .psd file and get a faster loading web page in the end.
